Asda Over 60s: The £1 Winter Warmer Cafe Deal

Asda doesn't have an over 60s discount card, and anyone telling you otherwise is winding you up. What Asda does have is the £1 winter warmer, and it's a cracker. From 1 November to the end of February, anyone aged 60 or over can walk into any of Asda's cafes and get a bowl of soup (tomato or chicken, usually), a bread roll and unlimited cups of tea or coffee for one pound. No card, no voucher, no fuss. Just tell them at the counter. It's proper popular too. Asda serves around half a million of these meals to pensioners every winter, and plenty of local over 60s groups use it as a cheap regular meet up. If you fancy company with your cuppa, ask about it in your local store. Outside the winter months, your best bet at Asda is the free Asda Rewards app, which builds up a cashpot you can spend off your shopping.
